Calmness in the midst Change

In the midst of so much change, transition, anticipation, tiredness. We are truly knowing and feeling God's love and provision at the center of our lives. God has allowed us to be blessed in so many ways and by many people, especially over the past three weeks. Thank you for your continual prayers.

We have been tremendously blessed by our friend's (the J's) very generous gift; allowing us to move temporarily to their river house when we completely move from our current house. We officially leave for China May 5th, return on the 23rd, and must be moved to the river house by the end of May.

We have been going out to the river house quite a bit the past week. It's a serene, wonderland. The boys absolutely Love it. I must admit from the moment you drive down the long dirt road, the weight and business of the world seems to melt away. A peace, God's beauty is all around you. The only negative to it, is uncompromising need to watch the boys every second. With nature all around, boys can get into trouble, before they realize it and we don't want any accidents to arise if we can help it. :-)

The boys Favorite feature of the river house, is the peacocks. They are beautiful, unique, friendly, and living security / wildlife alarms!! Peacocks scream like a high pitched woman when they are alarmed; they have been known to make grown men cry like babies. :-o

Fortunately, they roost at night in the trees around the house and would only scream if an intruder approaches. We'll see how that goes. :-))

Here's a little taste of calm beauty (His creations), enjoy!

Amazing Grace

The past two weeks have literally been a whirlwind. Most days I can hardly retain a thought for more a a few seconds before I jump to another. God has been working mightily in our hearts and all around, especially through family, friends, our church, and others.

We have been blessed upon blessings. Though it's not to say there haven't been sweat, tears, and restlessness. Through this journey Rob and I have evolved so much, continued to develop our relationship, and sought to hear the Holy Spirit's leading.... especially through our pastor, Claude, our SS teachers, Patrick and Bart. We have been led many times to Philippians 1 and 2. Both books are full of convicting and sweet direction, hope and promise.  We are continuing to pray for growth daily, guidance and for God's path to open widely whatever direction it may lead our family.

3I thank my God every time I remember you. 4In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy 5because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, 6being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
7It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart; for whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God's grace with me. 8God can testify how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.
9And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, 10so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, 11filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.

OUr house finally sold after having it on the market for 9 months, (in the current real estate market is pretty good). Our realtor has worked so hard to bring this to fruition for our family. We have gained a great and valued friend through this long and tiring process.

We close on it this week and are moving a a temporary house tomorrow and Monday. All of our belongings will wait for us in storage, until we find/move into a permanent home. We are looking for a new home everyday and are thankful for many leads from our friends. We hope to be able to move into a house by the end of June.

God is working through our neighbors, K & M J's to provide us with their country home. A place of respite and of God's calm beauty, to bring our sweet family to including Nara Josette, during this time of transition. A True Miracle, considering how it all came together from one brief conversation! We cannot Thank them enough for their generosity and love.

We leave next Wednesday for China and will be there 18 days.

We have also been greatly blessed by Rob's work schedule. What seemed like a not so great schedule a few months ago, has been an Miracle on this journey. WIth Rob's work he is responsible for either working each day, finding someone to cover it/trade, or pay someone to wrk for him.  Well, for the length of our trip he is only having to find coverage/trade for 3 days total. A Miracle from God!

With all of the the many blessings, we are sad that we'll miss our boys end of year kindergarten parties, Ford's kindergarten graduation, and their final soccer game/party of the season. Not to mention being apart from them for so long. I haven't apart from them for more than a day and half.

We are thankful and excited to finally be traveling to bring home our daughter/sister!

Please continue to pray for us, we have a LOT of different things happening Now and it's not easy to make such important decisions simultaneously. It's kind of like dominos.

Time, Time... Now?

Time, such a precious thing. It is amazing how little and hurried your time can be when there are endless details to be taken care of... We know, Know that God will lead us to the right house, allow us to travel to our daughter, and give us a peace beyond our own understanding, but it's very hard to try to hold it all together in the midst of the hurricane. While all of our circumstances are all very positive things, they are also all at the same time. I've been wondering what else could come up? Well, I know. Yesterday and today, Whit has decided he is really ready to Potty Train, NOW! He has been asking and randomly going to the potty to sit for a few weeks, but the past two days he has fully used the potty 4 times. I cannot believe it. Now!? It's great, but everyone's knows it is very time consuming and frustrating at times. I have not encouraged this because I knew we had Nara Josette coming soon and many kids revert (not using the potty) if a new kid arrives - we were hoping to delay this for a few months since he just turned 2. So, please continue to pray for us to find our new home very soon, or a rental if necessary, and for our travel, adoption, and potty training. Thank you Lord for all of these wonderful blessings, please give us strength on this journey.

Much Love~

A Sweet Brother, who is so excited for his baby sister to arrive.
Graham surprised me with a picture of a Sister Knight in the middle of his army of knights.
The boys are really into knights and soldiers and they draw & cut them out daily. I was truly touched by his heart in showing his sincere excitement for his sister's arrival.

TA RECEIVED - PRC Bound!!

It has finally arrived. It's confirmed. We received our Travel Authorization (TA) and are scheduled for our Consulate Appointment in Guangzhou May 19th, departing about 2 weeks before our appt. to travel to Beijing and then on to Nara Josette's province Xianyang, Shaanxi. We are so excited, as our long journey draws near to finally bring our daughter home. As God purposed, we also just sold our house and are intently looking for a new home. We have to move from our current house within 6 weeks. Please pray for us to be attuned to everything GOD is leading us to through this process and timeframe as we encounter much transition.

Thank you dear family and friends for your continual prayers, encouragement, and support. We are so thankful that you take your time to invest and care for our family and friendship.

Go Panthers!

The big boys recently began spring SonShine soccer season and they are really enjoying the sport of it and meeting their new friends and Coach Beiler. They had their first game this week, it's very humorous and fun to watch 4 & 5 yr. olds play soccer. It's truly great to see them learning about teamwork, sportsmanship, the 'rules of the game', and to be shepherded by a wonderful Christian Coach and his wife. They even have a short devotion about a Bible story during their break at practice and at half time during the games. We're so proud of them and enjoy seeing them have fun.

GO PANTHERS!

Easter Rising

We celebrated a wonderful Lent season, ending with Easter on Sunday. It is truly amazing to see the tiny seeds being planted and nurtured in our sons hearts. Of course, we all have have our off days, but it's obviously beyond Rob and me how much the Holy Spirit is growing their hearts and creating such thirst within each of them. I'm often left in awe of the words and concepts that Ford and Graham understand and ask about. They all love Jesus and Ford has asked Jesus to live in his heart and continues to do so often. I wish and pray my heart was as pure as a child's.

We enjoyed egg hunts(7), Easter parties, dyeing 3 dz. eggs, peeps, cooking, and time with our family and friends, aside from the most obvious; Praising God for our Salvation and His precious sacrifice for us. Some of the happiest moments of my days are listening to Ford sing songs, like He is Mighty to Save and Our God Is An Awesome God! May God be Alive within your and my heart each day, and we strive to serve Him and share His love.
